Trevor – Very sorry to hear about your loss. The Maldives is a very tranquil part of the world which is great for finding peace and calm. I do not know the latest prices for Kurumba or whether it would fit in your budget. Best to contact them directly. I am a big fan of Kurumba and have been there more times than any other resort. Relative to some of the more remote islands, Kurumba is not as “quiet” being close to Male, but you are correct that the far side is quieter. It will be just as quiet if not more so than Huragada.
